Tattoo or Not To Tattoo?

Which is it for YOU and Why?

If you have one, what is it of and does it have a special meaning?

Inquiring minds aka ME want to know.

  1. I have multiple tattoos, and yes they each have special meanings. For me it was important that when went to get a new piece that it had to have a significant meaning, but the meaning needed to be something that wasn’t temporary; a girls name, or a band or anything where my emotions or taste could change. Tattoos are scars that should mark an important moment that cannot be altered with time.

LOVED your comment and thanks for replying. I am always so curious. I too have some, I of course which I would of thought them out a bit more. But I think I look back and you pick what is important at that moment in you life. But now as I get older. Of course Id pick different..=)

I have 4 different tattoos – one on each of my upper arms, one on my right hip and one on my right calf. All of them have special meaning to me, but I try and maintain some discretion in identifying information. πŸ˜€ So, I don’t display on any public forums. πŸ˜‰

I have a bunch. I have a GIANT portrait of Axl Rose on my side, which kind of has meaning because Guns N Roses are a very prominent band in my life. I have a rose on my left breast which has meaning because it represents my fiance. I have a flying pig drinking a beer on my left arm which has no meaning other than my artist drew it up and I really liked it. And I also have the beginning of a sleeve on my right arm with all sorts of random stuff, also with no real meaning, drawn by my artist. We used to say I was his walking billboard — whatever he wanted to tattoo he just put on me. And I love them all =]

I have four and to be honest they don’t really have special meanings. I got them because I loved them and, luckily, I still do. I’ve had my oldest one for 15 years and my most recent for 2 years. I’m ready for another one and really want a half sleeve!
I love tattoos, especially on men πŸ™‚

  5. I have one, and I didn’t get it until I turned thirty. I figured if I still wanted one by then it was a go. I took considerable time deciding what I would always want on my body, and what would never change in my life. I’ve been a Yankees fan since I could crawl so I went with a Yankees emblem. I plan to do one more when (IF?!?!) I meet a weight loss goal I set. That one will read “Kia Kaha”, a Maori phrase loosely translated to “Stay Strong” or “Forever Strong”.

  6. I have four. My first was also at 30, and it is my children’s zodiac signs intertwined. My second is a single old school flash swallow on my forearm, just because I loved it. My third is a tribal butterfly with the cervical cancer awareness ribbon as the body. The last one I got was a plain awareness ribbon on my foot that I got in Vegas when I was able to meet several ladies that had been diagnosed with the rare cancer I’m a survivor of.

  7. I have a number of tattoos as well. They all mean something special to me, even if I’m not exactly thrilled with all of them.
I’m also a “word,” which explains the word on my wrist. (That’s not my wrist on the front page of this link, though.) http://ineradicablestain.com/skindex.html
